Our Mission
Budhanilkantha School is one of the premier higher-secondary educational institution in Nepal, a school that has provided many boys and girls with life changing educational opportunities. Today, the school is under tremendous financial pressure to meet the key commitments it makes to the community; that of helping educate students from all around Nepal, irrespective of their financial status.
The 2015 budget of the school shows an annual gap of over US$100,000 as the Government of Nepal continues to reduce its promised share of the funding for scholarship students.
A significant number of students, especially those doing A-Levels, now fear they will be unable to afford to continue in the school. The school is also being forced to cut its expenditures in other areas, including teacher hiring and extracurricular activities. This reduction in the quality of teaching and learning impacts the success of the students.
We believe that now is a pivotal time for our alumni to make meaningful and long-lasting contributions towards the school in a sustainable manner. Budhanilkantha School Endowment Fund is a distillation of these ideas.
